The RGZ-91 Re-GZ is the streamlined prototype version of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam intended for mass production. This Mobile Suit uses a unique Back Weapon System to achieve the "Waverider" form instead of an expensive and complex transformation like the Zeta has. The RGZ-91 Re-GZ also shares many aspects with the RGM-89 Jegan to reduce the cost of production. This Mobile Suit first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack film piloted by; none other than Amuro Ray!
