Details:

Plastic 1/48 DeHavilland Mosquito FB.VI/NF.II Airplane from Tamiya. Originating out of a private venture by the British deHavilland company to produce a high-performance bomber from non-strategic materials, the Mosquito evolved into one of the most versatile and in-demand aircraft of WWII. Made mostly from balsa wood, the Mosquito could fly fast enough and high enough to outrun any German aircraft that tried to intercept it for most of the war. The aircraft was used as a bomber, a night fighter, a fighter-bomber, and a reconnaissance aircraft and proved highly effective in those roles. It was powered by two Rolls-Royce Merlin engines, the same engine used in the P-51, Spitfire, Hurricane, and Lancaster, just to name a few.

1/48th scale plastic kit for static display. 128 parts in light grey and clear with fine recessed panel lines. Optional parts for radar-equipped NF.II night fighter and FB.VI Fighter-Bomber. Choice of paddle-blade or pointed blade propellers. Fully detailed wheel wells and intricately reproduced landing gear assemblies. Full bomb bay interior with bombs, fuel bladders, and cannon breeches. Cockpit detail, the instrument panel with decal for instrument faces seats with decal seatbelts, radios, and pilot and navigator figures. Optional opened nose bay reveals (4) machine guns and ammunition cans.
