Plastic 1/48 MCD Douglas F-15C Eagle Airplane from Tamiya. This is a twin turbofan-powered air superiority fighter with a crew of one. It's used to engage enemy fighter and bomber aircraft to defend home territory or project air superiority to allow friendly aircraft to fly safely over enemy territory.
FEATURES:
Period of Service: 1972 - present; C model introduced in 1979. Highly detailed 1/48th scale plastic kit for static display. Markings included for 3 different aircraft. Approx. 120 parts in light grey and clear with fine recessed panel lines. Optional parts for intake ramp in subsonic and supersonic configurations. 4-piece ejection seat. 2-part windshield/canopy may be posed open or closed. Detailed nose gear with landing lights and door retraction strut. Cockpit detail includes rear electronics bay with sidewall detail, cockpit side consoles with decal, instrument panel with decal instrument details, and seated pilot figure. 1 centerline and 2 wing-mounted external fuel tanks. 4 AIM-9L Sidewinder and 2 AIM-7F Sparrow missiles. Detailed Hughes APG-63 radar is visible under the removable nose cone. Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-100 turbofans; Mach 2.5 max speed; armed with 20mm rotary cannon, AIM-9L Sidewinder and AIM-7F Sparrow missiles.
