The F-16I's striking looks and features are significantly different from its F-16 counterparts. A long dorsal fairing bulge, which runs along the spine of the fuselage from the rear of the cockpit to the tail fairing, is used to store additional equipment or fuel. Other distinguishing highlights include Israeli-developed avionics, helmet-mounted sights and compatibility with Python 5 air-to-air missiles.
