Insta-Cure+ Gap Filling Medium CA Pocket Super Glue

Insta-Cure+ is a higher viscosity CA for loose fitting joints in which the adhesive must bridge gaps. Normally, the thicker CA is applied to one surface and then the parts are held tightly together for about 5 to 15 seconds. For large surface areas, including those with close fitting joints such as lamination's, INSTA-CURE+ should also be used. To prevent premature curing, don’t spread the glue into a thin film. Lay down a serpentine bead with about 1" separations on one surface, then assemble the parts, letting the pressure spread the CA out.

Features

Insta-Cure+ is perfect when gluing balsa wood and softwood, but also works well for hardwoods, glass, metal, fiberglass, ceramics, hard plastics, and rubber. In addition, it's also water-resistant. When cyanoacrylate glue dries, it dries crystal clear, does not discolor, nor foams making it a great choice for hobby enthusiasts and dental labs. Pocket CAs are available in 3/4 & 4 oz. sizes and feature a top that has a pin built into the cap that covers the nozzle. This pin seals the bottle so that if it is tipped over, the bottle will not leak. This makes the Pocket CAs ideal for keeping in your tool or field box, just like our IC-Gel. This pin also helps prevent the clogging of the nozzle. One disadvantage that the new Pocket CA top has is the bluntness of the nozzle. This makes it more difficult to apply small amounts of the CA, especially in tight places. At the moment CAs cure, they give off a vapor that can irritate the nose and eyes, so be prepared. Thin CAs work very well on balsa since they penetrate into the wood and form more than just a surface bond.
